Das sagte Innenminister Joachim Herrmann (CSU) bei der Vorstellung der Verkehrsunfallstatistik in N\u00fcrnberg. 19.600 Unf\u00e4lle mit Beteiligung von Fahrradfahrenden und 84 Todesopfern stechen dabei besonders hervor. Warum werden t\u00f6dliche Radunf\u00e4lle h\u00e4ufiger?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[toc]<\/p>\n<h2>Verkehrsunfallstatistik Bayern: weniger Unf\u00e4lle, mehr Tote<\/h2>\n<p>Es gibt auch so etwas wie gute Nachrichten. 2022 lag die Zahl aller Verkehrsunf\u00e4lle in Bayern immerhin 9,8 % unter der des Pandemie-Vorjahrs 2019. Dabei starben 2022 allerdings mit insgesamt 519 Menschen 76 mehr als 2021.<\/p>\n<h2>Radunf\u00e4lle drastisch gestiegen \u2013 Herrmann verspricht Besserung<\/h2>\n<p>Seit 2002 ist die Zahl der Unf\u00e4lle mit Radfahrenden in Bayern um mehr als die H\u00e4lfte gestiegen: 2022 erreichten sie mit rund 19.600 Radunf\u00e4llen und 84 Todesopfern einen historischen H\u00f6chststand. Rund zwei Drittel dieser Fahrradunf\u00e4lle h\u00e4tten die Radfahrerinnen und Radfahrer allerdings selbst verursacht, etwa durch Fahren unter Einfluss von Alkohol oder anderen Drogen, oder Nutzung von Mobiltelefonen w\u00e4hrend der Fahrt.<\/p>\n<p>Innenminister Herrmann versprach auf der Pressekonferenz in N\u00fcrnberg massive Investitionen in die Bayrische Radinfrastruktur, die im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nimms-rad.de\/news\/eu-cycling-strategy-radverkehr\/\">EU-Vergleich<\/a> auch mehr als schlecht budgetiert ist \u2013 aber auch, als oberster Dienstherr der bayrischen Polizei \u2013 verst\u00e4rkte Kontrollen des Radverkehrs. Ob das bayrische Innenministerium ebenfalls vorhat, das unfalltr\u00e4chtige Missachten der vorgeschriebenen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nimms-rad.de\/news\/openbikesensor-studie-abstand\/\">\u00dcberholabst\u00e4nde<\/a> durch Autofahrende vermehrt zu kontrollieren, war nicht zu erfahren.<\/p>\n<h2>\u201eGef\u00e4hrliche Rahmenbedingungen\u201c \u2013 Fahrrad-Initiativen mahnen<\/h2>\n<p>Bernadette Felsch, Landesvorsitzende des ADFC Bayern, sagte in einem Interview mit dem Bayrischen Rundfunk:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Radfahren an sich ist nicht besonders gef\u00e4hrlich. Gef\u00e4hrlich sind die schlechten Rahmenbedingungen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Erhalt und Ausbau des Radwegenetzes w\u00fcrden in Bayern nicht mit der n\u00f6tigen Ernsthaftigkeit verfolgt. Dadurch w\u00fcrden sogenannte \u201eAlleinunf\u00e4lle\u201c von Radfahrenden, verursacht durch etwa Verschmutzungen, Schlagl\u00f6cher oder Bordsteinkanten auf unzureichender Radinfrastruktur zunehmend ein Problem. Auch nehme der Autoverkehr immer mehr zu, die Fahrzeuge w\u00fcrden immer gr\u00f6\u00dfer und schwerer &#8211; und damit gef\u00e4hrlicher f\u00fcr Radfahrer und Fu\u00dfg\u00e4nger.
